Joel Gabriel Grey is our editor, writer, and educator. He grew up in Beaverton, Oregon and attended George Fox University from 2012 to 2016. While there, he worked as both a teaching assistant and a member of the Academic Resource Center (writing center) staff. During the summer he was an intern at Cascade Policy Institute, a small local think tank. Further, he participated in a variety of economic and political discussion groups. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science in 2016.
After graduation, he began working in the insurance industry where he spent the next seven years. He developed his abilities in business writing and persuasive writing during his workday while also continuing to explore creative writing in his free time. This continues to the current day when he self-publishes under Malum Prohibitum Press and is currently working on his first novel.
In early 2023, Joel created Scribe’s Stylus with the goal of providing highly tailored writing and editing services to help clients express their ideas more effectively. He also launched tutoring services which are similarly tailored to individual needs and interests. Finally, Joel is currently working on expanding our free educational offerings. At present we offer resources concerning the American Revolution, black history, women’s history, and general writing. We believe knowledge cannot be owned and education is key to humanity’s future.
